Creating an account and confirming your email
Sign up in a minute, then confirm your email with a 6-digit code or the link we send.
Creating a Cheaplyfly account is free and quick. This guide walks you through sign-up and the email confirmation step, and explains the messages you might see.
Signing up
- Go to Create account.
- Enter your first name and email address.
- Create a password of at least 8 characters. A short sentence is easy to remember and hard to guess. A strength meter shows how strong it is.
- Tick the box to confirm you meet the minimum age shown and accept the terms and privacy policy.
- Optionally tick the box to get fare drops and travel tips by email. You can leave it unticked.
- Press Create account.
We set your currency and home airport from your approximate location to start with. You can change both later in Profile.
Confirming your email
On most sites, you confirm your email before your first sign-in. We send an email with:
- A 6-digit code to type on the confirmation screen, and
- A Confirm my email button that does the same in one click.
- Open the email. Its subject usually includes your code.
- Type the code on the screen and press Confirm email, or press the button in the email.
- You are signed in and taken to your dashboard with a welcome message.
About the code
- The code works for a limited time, about 30 minutes.
- After a few wrong tries, ask for a new code.
- Use Didn’t get it? Send a new code if it has expired or didn’t arrive. You can only request a few new codes in a short time.
Password rules
- At least 8 characters.
- Don’t use the first part of your email address in your password.
- Very common passwords and repeated characters aren’t accepted.
If this, then that
- If you see “An account with this email already exists”, sign in instead, or reset your password.
- If the confirmation expired, just sign in with your email and password. We send a fresh code automatically.
- If the link in the email says it has expired or was already used, enter the code from the latest email, or request a new one.
- If you see “That was quick”, the form was sent faster than a person usually types. Check the fields and send it again.
- If there is an “I am human” check, complete it before you submit.
- If sign-ups are closed, the site isn’t accepting new accounts at the moment.
