1Who is responsible

Cheaplyfly, the address shown on our Contact page, is responsible for your personal data on Cheaplyfly. Contact us about privacy at support@cheaplyfly.com.

2What we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash), home airport, currency and settings you choose.
• Activity: searches, saved items and price alerts you create; clicks to partners (route, dates and price shown).
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form.
• Technical data: approximate location derived from your connection (to choose your currency and nearest airport), browser type, and a one-way hashed version of your IP address used for security and rate limits.
• Cookies: see our cookie policy.

We never collect payment card details: you pay partners directly.

3Why we use it

• To provide the service: searches, results, alerts and your account.
• To send emails you asked for (alerts, account emails, and newsletters if you subscribed).
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
• To understand and improve the site, with your consent where required.
• To meet legal obligations.

4Legal bases

Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (your account and alerts), consent (newsletters, analytics cookies), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the service) and legal obligation.

5Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. When you click through to a partner, the partner receives what you send them on their site; we pass your search details (route, dates, travelers) in the link. We use service providers for hosting, email delivery and, with consent, analytics, under contracts that protect your data.

6International transfers

Cheaplyfly serves travelers worldwide, and our providers may process data in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

7How long we keep data

Account data is kept while your account is open. Search history is kept until you clear it or delete your account. Finished price alerts are removed automatically. Security logs are kept for a limited period.

8Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download, delete or restrict use of your data, to object to processing and to withdraw consent. You can download or delete your data from your dashboard, or email support@cheaplyfly.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9Children

Cheaplyfly is not intended for children. Accounts are for people aged 16 or older.

10Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version.
